OUR EQUAL OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT

Project Audio Ltd is committed to providing equal opportunities in all areas of employment, including recruitment, training, pay, promotion, and project allocation. We do not tolerate discrimination on the basis of age, disability, gender, gender identity, race, nationality, religion or belief, sexual orientation, marital or parental status, or socio-economic background.

We value talent and integrity above all else. Selection for roles or projects is based on ability, experience, and potential. All team members, whether staff or freelance, are treated with fairness and respect. We continually review our practices to ensure they are inclusive, transparent, and aligned with our values and current legislation.

OUR DIVERSITY & INCLUSION STATEMENT

We are committed to positive change in the touring/production community. We view this as an essential element required in order to grow and be truly representative. We recognise that talent is diverse - we are accessible and welcoming to all. Project Audio embraces the diversity spectrum of talented individuals, allowing freedom of expression of gender/race/ethnicity/religion - offering equal opportunities to disabled persons and those from all socio-economic groups – creating a working culture of trust, safety and feeling valued for who they are. We have been positively discriminating for 8 years and have achieved more gender and ethnicity diversity in our teams as a result. We see team members as a family and are welcoming to all, we will not tolerate discrimination.

We are leading the way in our event crews to ensure they are representational in their diversity. Going forwards we will continue to be responsive and take advice from organisations such as Equalities Commission, Diversify the Stage, Roadies of Color United, SoundGirls, Stonewall etc and continue to positively discriminate to nurture diversity in our teams. We will continue to focus on training/offering more opportunities to: School leavers, Females and Non-White ethnicity groups and LGBT+ groups. Helping to open up doors to people, which otherwise may not have been perceived by our industry as being easily accessible.

We understand the impact this has talent wise, not just for live, but Music production too and our responsibilities as a market leader in our field. We believe in diversity – and it makes for more fun, balanced, innovative and refreshing working environment, without embracing different cultures, we would not be the company we are.  We are committing to equality in all aspects of our work, including pay gaps according to age, ethnicity or gender.

OUR DIGNITY AT WORK POLICY

Everyone working with or for Project Audio Ltd has the right to be treated with dignity and respect. We are committed to maintaining a workplace that is free from bullying, harassment, victimisation, or any form of unwanted behaviour - whether verbal, physical, or digital.

We expect high standards of conduct across all events, projects, and workplace settings. Any concerns raised will be taken seriously and dealt with promptly and appropriately. We support an environment where individuals feel safe, valued, and able to speak up without fear of reprisal.  Maintaining a respectful, collaborative culture is essential to the way we work - and to the quality of the work we deliver.

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY

Project Audio Ltd is committed to sustainability - minimising our environmental impact while delivering exceptional sound. We recognise our responsibility to the planet and are committed to compliance with all relevant UK environmental legislation, including the Environment Act 2021, Climate Change Act 2008, and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations. We also aim to follow evolving best practice within the events and AV sectors.

What we are doing:

  • We have expanded our small fleet of hybrid and fully electric vehicles. We aim to transition all remaining diesel vehicles to electric by 2027 in line with UK zero-emission targets, and prioritise electric vehicles for all deliveries where practical.

  • Energy efficiency remains central to our approach - our systems use high-efficiency amplifiers, processors, and switching gear, reducing overall energy consumption at events and in installations.

  • We stock and hire only the highest-quality, long-lasting equipment. Our inventory is rigorously tested and maintained to maximise lifespan and reduce waste. Where possible, we refurbish or repurpose older gear for use in educational, community or low-budget arts projects.

  • Most of our key suppliers are UK-based, and we prioritise local manufacturing to reduce transport emissions. Where international products are necessary, we favour manufacturers with strong environmental credentials from Germany and Italy.

  • Our warehouse and office use energy-efficient lighting, heating and cooling systems, and we have fitted motion sensors to reduce energy use when areas are unoccupied.

  • We operate on 100% renewable electricity, and our gas supply is carbon-offset via a verified carbon scheme.

  • We recycle all possible materials, including paper, packaging, metals, electronics and cabling. End-of-life gear is either donated, resold at deep discount, or responsibly recycled via WEEE-compliant services.

  • Our offices and warehouse prioritise the use of environmentally certified cleaning products, FSC-certified paper, and organic sundries sourced from UK suppliers.

  • We continue our pledge to plant one tree for every job we carry out via One Tree Planted and Trees for Life, contributing to both global reforestation and UK native forest regeneration.

  • In 2025, we are introducing carbon tracking for major projects, allowing us to assess and reduce the footprint of our work over time. We aim to publish an annual sustainability report from 2026.

  • We regularly review the environmental impact of our operations, seeking feedback from staff, clients, and suppliers to inform and improve our policies.

  • We are exploring options to become ISO 14001 certified in the near future, further formalising our environmental management systems.

This policy applies to all activities undertaken by Project Audio Ltd and extends to our suppliers, freelance crew, collaborators, and clients. We ask that our partners support and respect these principles in their work with us.
